Waukesha's water diversion plan triggers Congressional briefing

Great Lakes water expert Peter Annin will brief Congressional staffers today on the Great Lakes Compact water management agreement now under the microscope from a controversial Waukesha diversion plan, according to this report:
“In an era of increasing international water insecurity, the Great Lakes Compact is more important than ever,” Annin said. “Next year the Compact will be tested by a controversial water diversion proposal in suburban Milwaukee, and that is really what has triggered this briefing.”
Annin has spoken in Milwaukee, and in Waukesha nearly five years ago, where he told officials there to expect rough-sledding for their application.
