Walker gets praise from Walker-run group

I haven't seen this much rehearsed self-praise since DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp said Cathy Stepp was doing a great job.

But it makes sense that a PR machine is in high gear today, this being a Wednesday when a pending re-election campaign seems to be in the air.

Right-wing WI Gov. and perpetual GOP candidate Scott Walker is the current chairman of the Republican Governors Association, which no doubt explains why Walker came in for special praise in an RGA email for Wisconsin placing 10th for business climate in a survey of CEO's by Chief Executive Magazine.

In a six-paragraph news release, this was the longest:

And cracking the top 10 for the first time ever in the history of the survey, Governor Scott Walker’s Wisconsin is ranked as the 10th best state for business in America, a testament to his commitment to strengthening the state’s business-friendliness. Before Governor Walker took office, Wisconsin ranked as one of the worst states for business in the survey, but now, under his leadership, the state has moved up 31 places in the rankings, and now enjoys its place as one of the best states in America for business.
Note this is based on a survey, not data indicating actual growth. In those surveys, like this one, Wisconsin ranked 32nd.

And note also that the graphic in the RGA email managed to squeeze Wisconsin in, but no love for you, #3 North Carolina. On, Wisconsin!
