WI DNR blows past 10,000-acres' sales ordered by legislators

I note in this item on the upcoming Wisconsin Natural Resources Board agenda - - and, by the way, props to the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission whom I often criticize for saving on behalf of the public a 40-acre plus plum parcel described in the agenda item- -  that the Wisconsin Natural Resources Department is now more than 200 acres over the 10,000 total which the Legislature ordered be sold, and which DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp had earlier encouraged in her zeal to serve private interests.
Wisconsin DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp proudly shows off her first deer, taken opening weekend last year. In the upcoming TV Special "Deer Hunt Wisconsin 2012, Stepp urges male hunters to take more girls and women hunting. "The secret's out," she says. "Hunting is a lot of fun, so don't keep it to yourselves." photo courtesy of Wisconsin DNR
Anyone in the Legislature monitoring these sales of public lands?

During the same time period, the DNR purchased new parcels and signed long term leases on large parcels in Douglas County.
