EPA's Pruitt caves, retains Obama-era ozone restrictions

Right-wing GOP Governors and Attorneys General like the Wisconsin matched big business bellhop pair of Walker & Schimel have been wasting taxpayer dollars to fight federal authorities for dirtier air and water, but today their like-minded EPA administrator partner and Trump lackey Scott Pruitt reversed his plan to unilaterally allow higher levels of unhealthy ozone to dirty up the air:
The Trump administration said late Wednesday that it would not delay an Obama-era regulation on smog-forming pollutants from smokestacks and tailpipes, a move that environmental groups hailed as a victory...
“Pruitt’s lawless attempt to delay stronger ozone-pollution protections would have put thousands of lives at risk,” said Lori Ann Burd, director of the environmental program at the Center for Biological Diversity, in a statement.
Pruitt can go back at it, but for now, everyone can breathe a little easier.
Smoke stacks from a factory.
